Privacy policy

1. What we collect

• Account details: your name, email address, mobile number and password. We store passwords only as a secure hash, never in readable form.
• Google sign-in: if you choose “Continue with Google”, Google shares your name, email address and a Google account identifier with us. We do not receive your Google password or access anything else in your Google account.
• Your study activity: lessons you open, questions and tests you attempt, your answers, scores and timings, so we can show your progress and analysis.
• Community content: anything you post, such as questions, answers, messages, group activity and your profile bio.
• E-book requests: when you download a free e-book we ask for your name, mobile number, email, city, the exam you are preparing for and your target year, with your consent to contact you.
• Technical data: basic server logs (such as request times and error details) to keep the service secure and working.
• Usage analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website and app: which pages are read, how people arrive (for example from a search engine or a shared link), and actions such as starting sign-up or downloading an e-book. Google Analytics uses cookies and receives information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser. We do not send it your name, email or mobile number, and we do not use it for advertising profiles.

2. How we use it

• To create and secure your account and sign you in.
• To run the platform: lessons, practice, tests, analysis and the community.
• To contact you about your account and, when you sign up or ask for an e-book, about our courses and preparation, by phone, email or message. You can ask us to stop at any time.
• To prevent abuse, fix problems and improve the platform.

We do not sell your personal data.

3. Who we share it with

Only the service providers that run the platform for us, under their own security and privacy commitments:

• Cloudflare (website hosting and network security)
• Render (application hosting)
• Neon (database hosting, Singapore region)
• Google (sign-in with Google, Google Analytics, and our email)

Other students see only what you choose to share in the community, such as your name, bio and posts. We may disclose data where the law requires it.

4. Where and how long we keep it

Your data is stored on servers in Singapore and protected in transit with encryption (HTTPS). We keep account data while your account is open and delete it within 30 days of a deletion request, except where the law requires us to keep it longer.

5. Cookies and local storage

We use your browser’s storage to keep you signed in and to remember details you typed (for example, on the e-book form), so you don’t have to enter them again. Google Analytics sets cookies to count visits and tell new visitors from returning ones. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw consent to being contacted. Email support@pareto-academy.com from the address on your account and we will reply within 30 days.

7. Children

Pareto Academy is meant for people preparing for entrance exams such as CAT. If you are under 18, please use it with a parent or guardian’s permission.

8. Changes and contact
